This study has been written in the context of a research study dealing with "Human Rights Violations in Conflicts" which aims at providing an analysis of human rights violations of vulnerable groups in violent conflict and crisis settings. The book provides a specific focus on the list of vulnerable groups which has been identified in the EU Strategic Framework and Action Plan for Human Rights and Democracy: namely, children, women, refugees and IDPs, and indigenous peoples.
